Structural Work

Wooden framing of a house under construction with mountain views

Structural Framing

Structural Modifications & Load-Bearing Work are where it really matters who is touching your framing. When you open up a floor plan or alter a support wall, you are changing how the entire structure carries weight, and the work needs to be done methodically and to code.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
We focus on safe load-bearing wall removals and relocations for remodels that call for bigger kitchens, open family rooms, or wider hallways. Before any lumber comes out, we review the plans or engineering, install proper temporary bracing, and sequence the work so your home remains stable throughout the process.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
Our crew installs both wood and steel beams, headers, and posts, following engineered specs for spans, hangers, and connections. That might mean dropping in a flush LVL for a clean ceiling line, or setting a heavier steel beam when the design demands long, open spans. Either way, we are thinking ahead about how drywall, mechanicals, and finishes will interact with that structure.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
Beyond the major beams, we also handle interior partition framing to reshape rooms, closets, and hallways, keeping everything plumb, square, and aligned with existing work. When you add or resize windows and exterior doors, we frame new rough openings, adjust headers, and ensure proper load paths above each opening.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
We understand that these changes often happen in lived-in homes, so we keep work areas as contained and organized as possible and coordinate with your GC or designer to limit downtime in key rooms. The benefit to you is an updated layout that feels open and modern, with the peace of mind that the structure behind the drywall is properly supported and inspection-ready.
‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
When the plan calls for taking out walls or adding bigger openings, we make sure the framing behind your remodel is as strong and thoughtful as the finishes you see every day.
